The universes

Home, design & the art of living: objects to live with.

A vase changes a view. A table brings people together. A textile alters the light in a room. This universe explores how objects, furniture and materials become part of the spaces we inhabit. It brings approaches to design and French manufacturing together around a simple question: how can forms respond to everyday use, sensory experience and different ways of living?

Objects in relation to use

Beyond its outline, an object is understood through the gestures it supports. A seat, a light or a piece of tableware invites attention to proportion, touch and construction. Design takes its place here in a practical relationship between form, material and everyday life, rather than as an image considered in isolation.

Materials with a presence of their own

Ceramics, wood, glass, metal and textiles each bring possibilities and constraints. A glaze, a joint, a surface finish or a weave can become the starting point for a conversation. Brands and workshops can explain their choices, techniques and the manufacturing stages carried out in France.

From furniture to tableware

The universe may include furniture, decorative pieces, textiles, creative objects and the art of hosting. These varied approaches are not intended to impose a single style. They offer an opportunity to compare ways of designing and making, with a shared interest in the objects themselves and how they are used.

Imagining a place for an object

For visitors and professionals, a form or a colour may begin the discovery, followed by questions about design, care and manufacturing. Product-specific information will be supplied by the brands. Participating collections and exhibitors will be announced separately.

Introduce your objects

Do you create or manufacture furniture, objects or home textiles in France? Introduce your pieces, their uses and where they are made. The organising team can review your enquiry and explain participation arrangements. No selection is implied by this presentation.

Your questions

Is this universe only for furniture?
No. It also covers decorative pieces, tableware, textiles and creative objects associated with the home and the art of living.
Can one-off pieces be considered?
Designers, workshops and manufacturers may present different approaches. The organisers assess proposals according to the products, manufacturing and fit with the exhibition.
How should applicants present a proposal?
Describe the pieces, their uses and manufacturing locations in the exhibitor enquiry form. The organising team can then guide the conversation and explain participation arrangements.
